The Least of These Children's Home

In the heart of the mountainous Darjeeling Region which was once dominated by the British is a small village called Relli. This area is world renown for its tea but there is something far more precious than tea in the shadow of the snow covered Himalayan Mountains. Children, many children. Children who are always hungry; children who have to work rather than attend school; children who have never know anything but filth; children with such sad stories etched across their faces and into the depth of their eyes that it is difficult to look at them without becoming emotional.

Praise God the story doesn't end there! The LOT Children's Home which opened in May 2002 has become a refuge and permanent home for the poorest of the poor in this region. Jonathan, along with his wife Laxmi, are providing love and a home to 40 previously indigent children. In February 2003 we purchased a new building which has become the LOT Mission School. This school is providing not only our children with quality Christian education but the neighboring children as well. We are making a tremendous difference in this small community!

Some people think miracles no longer occur. We know better! One look at the radiant, smiling faces of the energetic children who live at the Least of These Children's Home is proof enough. Their lives have been turned completely around. Where there was despair, there is now hope. Where there was pain and hunger, there is now love and security. With God all things are possible!
